Goaltender Philippe DeRouville played great, allowing only 1 goal, and newcomer Saku Koivu scored twice, adding 1 assist. Jeff Friesen also obtained 3 points, 1 goal and 2 assists. Playing their very first game in a Corinthians jersey, Sebastien Bordeleau and Keith Tkachuk both wrote their names on the score sheet, obtaining an assist. Petr Nedved also scored his first goal in Kingston. The Corinthians are now on a hot streak, their best of the season. The chemistry is starting between all the new players so things will keep getting better. The Corinthians picked centerman Scott Thornton from the waivers. The Corinths were already strong at this position with Sundin, Koivu, Nieuwendyk, Primeau, Nedved and Bordeleau, and two top prospects in the minors in Jim Campbell and Jason Allison. "We're gonna have some problems soon with this bottleneck at center but every GM would like to have this kind of problems on his hands", said GM Marc Hebert. "I don't know when Thorton is gonna get to play, but I'm sure he'll help this team, adding some extra muscle." - Luc Gelinas pour Sports 30 Marc Hébert GM WHL Kinghston Corinthians GM KHL Montreal Eager Beavers GM WLUHL Quebec City Knights
