Subject: WHL: Bridgeland Huskies on the Prowl!

HUSKIES WIN PRE-SEASON OPENER

CALGARY (CP) - In a quiet off-season move the Bridge City Huskies have moved
to Calgary with the intention of taking over a larger fan base in their
drive for the cyber cup.  However, with the CLOWNS appearance on the WHL
scene the Huskies where forced to rename themselves the Bridgeland Huskies,
after a small area within the city of Calgary.  The fan-base seems to have
been evenly divided, especially with both the CLOWNS and the HUSKIES winning
their first pre-season game.  Looks like the rivalry is starting to brew and
when Shaun was asked about his second season in the WHL and what threat he
felt from the CLOWNS he fired back, "Well look at their name, they're
FREAKS...CLOWNS.  I'm suprised the beat the Warriors..maybe the Warriors
aren't as strong as I thought..cause these CLOWNS are in trouble in
Calgary...I can't wait to rough 'em up!"

        But in the season opener it was Oates and Shanahan starting off
where they left off last year...as they scored all of the HUSKIES goals on a
3-0 shutout win over the Fort Saskatchewan FURY.  Puppa shone in
net..stopping 29 shots on the way to what looks like the first of many wins
in this the HUSKIES second season in the WHL.

        When Adam Oates was asked about the game he responded, "We'll we
didn't expect much of a problem in Fort Saskatchewan..I mean since when did
hycks think they could play hockey." Looks like the Huskies are on a mission
and aren't looking for friendship this year.  Should be an interesting year.
