Bossy stated... "No doubt about it, were a better team than last year, and early in the season the Campbell will be served notice that were the toast of the conference! Last year we were the best in the WHL on the power play, and this season we added 3rd RD pick Jason Bonsignore just for the purpose of standing in front of the net on the power play. In the first 2 preseason games he's already scored 2 goals in limited duty. He isn't seeing time on the regular shifts, but he sure has punished the opposition when he has been out there! Sergei (Samsonov) is still trying to get used to the North American style of play, but we expect 30 or so goals from him on the first line, if he struggles at the outset, we'll drop him to the 2nd line. We also picked up 2 dmen in the draft, Jan Vopat & Wade Belak. Jan has good offensive skills & Wade should help kill penalties. Brad (Park) is working with them and we expect strong contributions from them both. Pronger has also really improved his strength and skills in the offseason working with Brad, and we expect him to have a great year. Theo will remain our captain, were just trying to get him to harness his anger better, he already has 21 peanalty minutes the first 2 games. We need him on the ice, Pronger & Rathje can thump with the goons."
