Subject: WHL: Flaming Fish moves

The Halifax Flaming Fish made two trades today, shipping off some
under-achievers in return for some strength up the middle.  In their
first move, two pairs of centremen were swapped, with the Fish sending
Jason Arnott and Jeff Shantz to the Vikings for Chad Kilger and
Steve Washburn.  Mere hours later, first line defenceman Rob Blake was
sent to the Voodoo for Nelson Emerson.

The moves leave the Fish heavy up the middle and light on the blueline.
In response to this, newly acquired centreman Steve Washburn and LW Brian
Bellows have been put on the block.  Needed are a solid RW and a strong
defenceman.  All reasonable offers will be carefully considered.
